Terms of Use
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the Platform app for iOS, iPadOS and macOS, and to this website at platform.synccy.com — including the waitlist form. By joining the waitlist or using the app you agree to them.
2. What Platform is
Platform is a native productivity app: databases with nine view types, a visual workflow designer, a knowledge graph, charts, CRM, chat, mail, calendar and notes, in one application that runs on your own devices. Your notes and drafts live on the device and, when you enable iCloud, in your private iCloud database. Shared and team data lives on backend infrastructure we run ourselves.
3. Pre-release status
Platform has not been released on the App Store. Everything on this site describes a product in development, and the prices on the pricing section are the prices it is intended to launch with — not an offer you can accept today. Nothing here is a commitment to a release date, to a feature, or to a price that has not yet been set in App Store Connect.
4. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means giving us an email address so we can tell you when Platform opens. It buys nothing, reserves nothing and costs nothing, and it is not a contract for the app. Confirmation is double opt-in: the address is only added once you click the link we email you. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete the record at any time (see Privacy).
5. Your content is yours
You keep every right in what you create in Platform. We claim no licence to your notes, records, workflows or messages beyond what is technically needed to store, sync and display them to you and to the people you share them with. We do not train models on your content and we do not sell it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Platform or this site to:
- break the law, or store material that is illegal where you or we are;
- attack, probe or overload the service, or work around its limits;
- resell access, or present the app as your own product;
- submit someone else's email address to the waitlist.
7. Accounts and connected services
Some features need an account, and some need you to connect a third-party account over OAuth — mail, calendar or photos. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. We never see the passwords of connected accounts; we hold only the tokens you granted, and disconnecting a service in Settings revokes our use of them.
8. Payment, when it exists
At launch, Pro is an in-app purchase billed by Apple under Apple's own terms, on a Universal Purchase across iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Apple handles the charge, the receipt, the refund and the cancellation; we never see your card. No payment is possible today, and no price is charged by us anywhere.
9. No warranty, and what that means here
Platform is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. That is the usual clause, and in pre-release it is meant literally: features change, data formats change, and a build may lose data. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any statutory consumer rights you have under Dutch and EU law, which these terms do not take away.
11. Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the date at the top is the only record of when. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email where the law requires it. You can stop using Platform at any time, and ask for your data to be deleted (see Privacy).
12. Who you are contracting with
Platform is built and operated by an individual developer in the Netherlands, through his registered sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) — the party you contract with under these terms:
Jarrel Pothoff, sole proprietorship
Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number: 42143146
VAT identification number: NL005530542B66
Registered address: Anjertuin 58, 2643 NB Pijnacker, the Netherlands
“SyncTogether” and “synccy” are project and domain names used for this and related apps. They are not companies, and no company of either name is a party to anything on this site.
13. Law and jurisdiction
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, nor of your right to bring a claim before the courts there.
14. Contact
